Communicative Practices

This is a list of communicative practices to explore at a later date:

1. Methods of self teaching English. These might include (as one student in the County classroom indicated) the use of English subtitles in Hindi movies to improve vocabulary and grasp of spoken English. This is another attempt to "get to speaking through writing." It could also be interesting to consider given that the primary target audience for subtitling is presumably a diasporic one that does not have a complete comprehension of spoken Hindi.
